PANIQUI, Tarlac – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has officially inaugurated its new District I Satellite Office in Paniqui, Tarlac, to enhance access to government programs and services for the local community. During the inauguration, DOLE Assistant Secretary Atty. Lennard Constantine Serrano highlighted the agency's commitment to making services more accessible.
“Nais natin mapalapit ang serbisyo at programa ng DOLE. Dahil dito, mas mapapaigi at mapapalapit ang ating serbisyo. Lahat ng nangangailangan, gaya po ng ibang tanggapan ng DOLE, bukas po ang aming pinto,” said Atty. Serrano, stressing that DOLE services are now more readily available for those in need.
The establishment of the satellite office was made possible through a strong partnership between DOLE and the local government of Paniqui, which provided free office space for the initiative. The partnership was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of agreement by Paniqui Mayor Leonardo Roxas, Vice Mayor Aida Roxas II, DOLE Central Luzon Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio, and DOLE Tarlac head Jose Roberto Navata.
Mayor Roxas expressed his gratitude to DOLE for responding to the municipality's request for a closer reach of government services. "We are thankful to DOLE for making this satellite office a reality. This will surely benefit the people of Paniqui and surrounding areas," he said.
According to DOLE Tarlac head Jose Roberto Navata, the satellite office will initially employ five personnel who will offer various services including employment facilitation, regulation, and workers' protection.
The satellite office also aims to provide programs such as technical advisory visits (TAV), basic first aid training, safety officer training for micro establishments (SOME), and entrepreneurship development training (EDT). Additionally, it will serve as the venue for the assembly of the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council of Tarlac (TIPCT), among other activities.
Also present during the event were DOLE Undersecretary Atty. Felipe Egargo Jr., municipal mayors, councilors, and barangay captains of Paniqui.
The new DOLE Tarlac District I Satellite Office, located at the Eduardo Cojuanco Jr. Gymnasium in Paniqui, Tarlac, will serve the 10 municipalities in District I: Anao, Camiling, Mayantoc, Moncada, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Clemente, San Manuel, and Santa Ignacia.
This initiative is seen as a significant step towards improving the delivery of government services, ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing vital labor and employment programs.
