Central Luzon Media Association Pampanga joined Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. on February 19 at 6 p.m. at Ristorante de Verona, Swissôtel Clark, to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary of performance and excellence.
A warm “Moshi moshi! Konbanwa!” echoed through the hall as media partners and guests gathered to honor three decades of Yokohama’s presence in Clark. The event brought together executives, media practitioners, and representatives from Clark Development Corporation, led by Communications Manager Astrud Aguinaldo.
Speaking on behalf of CLMA Pampanga, journalist Mark Sison expressed gratitude for the strong partnership between the media and Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. (YTPI). He highlighted the Japanese spirit of “monozukuri” — the discipline of craftsmanship and commitment to quality — which, he said, defines the company’s journey.
“For 30 years, excellence has not been claimed, but proven — mile by mile, community by community,” Sison said.
Beyond manufacturing, YTPI’s corporate social responsibility programs were recognized as structured and sustained efforts that benefit communities in Central Luzon. These include medical missions, climate resiliency and relief operations, gift-giving and volunteer initiatives, and environmental programs in Angeles City that promote waste management and tree planting.
The company’s scholarship support for engineering students at Bulacan State University was also cited as an investment in future Filipino professionals. Outreach programs for Aeta children at Villa Maria Elementary School in Porac, Pampanga were described as a reflection of inclusivity and shared progress.
“These are not side projects. They are part of YTPI’s operational philosophy,” Sison emphasized.
As media practitioners, CLMA Pampanga reaffirmed its role in documenting meaningful partnerships and responsible corporate efforts. The organization underscored the Japanese value of “kizuna,” or enduring relationships built on respect and trust, as the foundation of its collaboration with YTPI.
The evening ended with a message of appreciation and optimism for continued partnership.
For three decades, Yokohama Tire Philippines has strengthened its presence not only on the road, but also in the communities it serves. As the company looks ahead, partners say the journey of performance and shared growth continues.
