SUPREMO SENATOR LITO LAPID INTENSIFIES BICOLANDIA TOUR
Sen. Manuel “Lito” Lapid tours Bicol: motorcades, market visits & outreach in Casiguran, Sorsogon, Albay; boosting tourism, agriculture & welfare. Next: CamSur!

RELECTIONIST Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid is on a whirlwind visit across Bicolandia, engaging with local communities through a series of motorcades and  visiting public markets and transport hubs.

His tour, which began on March 4 and will run until March 7, highlights his commitment to tourism, agriculture, and social welfare—key pillars of his legislative agenda.

Lapid, chairman of the Senate committee on Tourism, has already made stops in Casiguran and Sorsogon City, before moving to several towns in Albay, including Tiwi, Tabaco, Malilipot, Sto. Domingo and Legazpi City.

The warm reception from excited Bicolanos mirrored the scorching summer heat, with many eager to meet the “Supremo” of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo in person.

"I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming love and support from the people of Bicol. Your warm welcome fuels my passion to serve even more," Lapid expressed.

Camarines Sur Up Next

Today, the senator is set to visit Camarines Sur, where his motorcade will pass through Camalig, Ligao, Polangui, Iriga City, and Pili. Residents in these areas can expect to see the actor-turned-lawmaker as he continues his outreach efforts.

Lapid is pushing for economic growth in tourism and agriculture, recognizing Bicol’s rich natural wonders such as the world-renowned Mayon Volcano, in Legazpi City, the whale sharks (“butanding”) of Donsol, Sorsogon, and many more attractions.

He also aims to enhance social welfare programs, particularly for low-income families, to ensure sustainable development across the region.

Last year, Lapid was proclaimed as “adopted son” of Iriga City by the City Council spearheaded by Mayor Rex Oliva.
