In a collaborative effort, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and the Department of Agriculture (DA) have partnered with toll expressway concessionaires and operators of CAVITEX, NLEX, SCTEX, MCX, and SLEX to launch the Agri-Trucks Toll Rebate Program. Set to take effect on June 1, 2024, this initiative aims to support DA-accredited truckers transporting agricultural goods by offering toll rebates equivalent to recent toll increases.
“This program aims to protect the welfare of the general public by minimizing the impact of toll rate increases on the overall inflationary situation to ensure the stability of food prices. The TRB, together with different government agencies, acknowledges the toll expressway concessionaires and operators for their full support and cooperation, as this would not be possible without their agreement,” said TRB Executive Director, Atty. Alvin A. Carullo.
To qualify, agri-trucks must be accredited by the DA and have valid Autosweep and/or Easytrip RFID accounts.
