Philippines’ Largest Data Center to Rise in Tarlac: ENDECGROUP Signs $2.7 Billion Lease Deal
in a monumental move for the Philippines’ burgeoning technology sector, Manila-based construction and engineering firm, ENDECGROUP, has signed a lease deal valued at $2.7 billion to establish the nation’s largest data center facility in Tarlac. This significant development positions the Philippines as a formidable player in the global hyperscale data center market.

Under the agreement, Narra Technology Park Development Inc. will secure 47 hectares of prime land within New Clark City (NCC) to develop the Narra Technology Park. This expansive area will house a 300-megawatt hyperscale data center, marking the largest such facility in the Philippines to date.

The data center project will be executed in three phases, each contributing 100 megawatts of capacity. William Johnson, Managing Director of ENDECGROUP, stated that the company will invest approximately $890 million in each phase. The initial 100-megawatt section is slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2025.

Johnson emphasized the project’s strong commitment to sustainability, noting that the data center will operate entirely on clean energy. This initiative is in line with global trends towards environmentally responsible technological infrastructure.

The Narra Technology Park is anticipated to create over 1,500 direct jobs, offering opportunities in IT operations, maintenance, and cybersecurity. This influx of high-tech jobs is expected to bolster the local economy and provide significant employment opportunities for skilled professionals in the region.

The establishment of this hyperscale data center not only underscores the Philippines' commitment to advancing its digital infrastructure but also highlights the country's potential as a critical hub in the global data center industry.
