In a significant move to bolster micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Balikatan sa Kaunlaran (BSK) National Foundation has announced the relaunch of its EntrePinoy Program. This initiative is designed to provide MSMEs with invaluable access to marketing and networking platforms, thereby fostering their growth and development.
The program's revival will be marked by the three-day EntrePinoy Expo, scheduled for February 23-25 at the Robinsons Galleria, Ortigas Avenue, Quezon City. This event aims to highlight and promote Philippine-made products, offering a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings to a broader audience.
The memorandum of agreement (MOA) pivotal to this relaunch was signed on January 23, with BSK National Foundation Chairperson Emeritus Guia Gomez in attendance. Representing BSK were Program Chairperson Rosario “Charo” Yu and Executive Vice President Joan Corpus Araneta, while Robinsons Land Corp. was represented by Senior Marketing Director Jess Zulueta III and Marketing Manager Ana Palenzuela. Lucette dela Rosa, Managing Director of LDR Events Solution, also witnessed the signing, underscoring the collaborative effort behind this initiative.
This partnership seeks to revive the EntrePinoy Program, a trailblazing endeavor that first made waves in the 1990s under the leadership of then BSK National President Guia Gomez. The MOA signing is a testament to the collective commitment of BSK, Robinsons Land Corp., and LDR Events Solution to advance the interests and capabilities of MSMEs.
Themed “Likhang Balikatan 2024,” the upcoming Expo is a celebration of Filipino craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit, with entry free of charge to the public. BSK councils and chapters across the nation are invited to participate and renew their membership, further solidifying the network of support for local businesses.
