The Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge, set to become a key infrastructure project in the Manila Bay area, will stretch 32.15 kilometers (19.98 mi), with 25.8 kilometers (16.0 mi) of it traversing the waters of Manila Bay. The four-lane bridge aims to connect the towns of Mariveles, Bataan, and Naic, Cavite, facilitating smoother travel and economic growth in the region.
The bridge will feature three navigation bridges - the North Channel Bridge, South Channel Bridge, and Nearshore Navigation Bridge - along with marine viaducts and a vehicle turnaround located east of Corregidor Island. The project's starting point will be in Barangay Alas-asin near the Mariveles Freeport Area, extending through a trumpet interchange on the Roman Superhighway.
Two cable-stayed bridges, the North Channel Bridge with a main span of 400 meters, and the South Channel Bridge with a main span of 900 meters, will be constructed to navigate the deep waters of Manila Bay, reaching depths of up to 50 meters. The bridge will terminate in Barangay Timalan Balsahan, Naic, Cavite, at a partial cloverleaf interchange on the Antero Soriano Highway, with provisions for a possible future connection to the Cavite-Laguna Expressway.
The project's Detailed Design Engineering Phase is expected to last 15 months, signaling progress towards the bridge's completion. Once operational, the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge is poised to benefit residents, buyers, investors, and business owners in Naic, Maragondon, Tanza, Bataan, and Cavite, fostering development and connectivity in the Manila Bay area
