From securing their first gold at the Tarlac City Private Educational Institutions Association (TCPEIA) press conference to triumphing at the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) in San Fernando City, the Collaborative Desktop Publishing-Secondary English (CDP-SE) team of the College of the Holy Spirit of Tarlac (CHST) has achieved a remarkable milestone. The team clinched the champion title at the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2024, held from July 8-12 in Carcar City, Cebu.
The team, composed of Danniell Domingo, Sean Lising, Johannes Mallari, Aji Quijano, Lee-Anne Navarro, Maergrethe Salta, Kathrene Santiago, and their coach Mr. Ivan Balmores, demonstrated extraordinary dedication and perseverance. Their journey to gold began with their first competition in TCPEIA and continued as they defended Region III’s prestigious title, marking a three-peat championship in the category.
Now celebrated as the pride of Region III and the Philippines, the CHST team is preparing to compete again in the 2025 press conferences. Their aim is to defend the title they victoriously secured in 2024, continuing their legacy of excellence in campus journalism.
